Works great! I feel safe knowing the exact amount of slack in the system. I’m considering getting another pack to add 2-3 more draws to my dedicated LRS rack. I find that my confidence goes up when I clip one of these before hard moves. Thanks Avant!
Tried them on tears of a clown multi-pitch in Montana and they are great
Rivelin quarries trial run UK gritstone. These work great! Easy to use. Much better now rope not backfeeding all the time. Especially useful on the short routes i tend to do
This is a must.. No worries about line sag back and build up of slack in the system... Best solution so far that I've seen. Well done! Gets some they are a game changer
The soft cinches work great!! Really nice to know there’s not a ton of slack in the system👍👍
This makes LRS So much safer and I always recommend it to people if they had any drawbacks would be that they’re a little hard to move out of the way when you want to use your drawers normally.
Those soft cinches are so good, awesome and easy handling
does the job great! used it to send Fata Morgana, a longtime project in Frankenjura just don’t forget to unclip the rope out of the carabiner before you go down and give the route another try. pulling the rope through the thing cinch cause immediate intensive wear
Great product, once set is solid, but you can alter the distance easily if needed. Definitely made LRS feel safer. Thanks for a reliable product Brent, look forward to more of your gear. from the UK.
Love these! Should a great addition to my LRS setup.
The soft cinch is a great product, it just works 👍🙂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
These make me feel much safer. which allows me to climb more fluidly
Work great
Besides my trusted Silent Partner, no other gizmo gives me more peace of mind when LRS-ing as I know every second how much slack I have into the system. I installed 12 of these on Petzl Spirit bent gate carabiners that I use either standalone (clip the binner directly into a bolt) or with alpine draws when trad LRS. The soft cinch + petzl spirit bent gate seem to have been made for each other...
critical piece of gear for LRS; while there are many options for dealing with back feeding, these are by far the easiest/fastest to use. I bought 2 sets because I found that 5 are not enough when stretching the 70m rope
These things are LEGIT! best backfeed Prevention on the market. Dont hesitate to buy them!
I had the chance to use the soft-cinch on multiple carabiners and multiple climbs. It works better than expected: totally flawless! The design is perfect for its intended purpose. I had doubts that it would work with all carabiner shapes since sometimes the gap for the rope seems too narrow. But guess what: it worked with all the carabiners I used! Just clip, pull the rope tight, and BOOM! The rope is locked in place just right. Thanks AVANT for bringing this product to the world!
These little guys solve a big problem! No more slip knots or worrying about coils of rope at the anchor. Takes some getting used to but a great solution. I personally put these on different colored draws so I can easily identify them when I feel it's needed. Great purchase!
Great bits of kit. Work as advertised - amazing in combination with other LRS kit sourced from Avant.
Very good!!
Nice little units and work well keeping the rope in place. Sliding them onto the carabiners is a pain, but once there it rocks. Good stopping power. No go on tiny snappers, but use rather larger ones so it doesn't interfere with clipping. Would recommend!
After using hair ties to attempt the same for years, these are game-changing!
Works well at managing slack in the rope----excellent fix of a significant problem while LRS climbing.
Works perfect
Does exactly what it was built to do - prevents backfeeding easily and with minimum user involvement.
.
Awesome device
Have tried them just once on a multipitch - worked perfectly.
Love the product. Functions perfectly. One thing I’ve noticed is they are wearing quite quickly. I have done few days on them and they started to fray
Habe diese jetzt montiert, ging ganz gut. Jetzt muss ich diese in der Praxis testen.
everything is going well wtiht the product. Regarding administrative aspect, not easy to find how to receive an invoice. will ask by email
At first glance I questioned if I really needed little things like cinch clips or fall absorbers but the reality is Avant products make climbing so much more efficient and comfortable when lead rope or top rope soloing. I’m absolutely loving the cinch clips, TRS neck lanyard and absorbers. Well worth every penny.
Gear is ok… as ok as 10 molded plastic parts can be. But, bru, look for a European distributor. I’ve paid €7.50 for each — at least they’re as expensive as the carabiner.
Very useful and welll built
Nice
feeling alot safer and moving faster on long LRS walls
They work great, as advertised 👍
Good product
Such an elegant solution for managing slack when rope soloing!
These don't work well on Petzl Ange carabiners because the angle of the top of the carabiner is too great which means the opening for the rope to enter is too small. Also the spine on the Ange is a little too narrow for the backfeed preventer to hold in place. But if you are going to buy dedicated carabiners to install these on anyway, just get Petzl Spirits, they fit great on Finesse dogbones and the backfeed preventer works great on them.
